My
Little
Sister
is
Named
after
Crayon
Shin-chan Growing
up,
one
of
my
favorite
animated
characters
was
Crayon
Shin-chan,
the
lovable
and
mischievous
five-year-old
who
always
found
himself
in
hilarious
and
sometimes
absurd
situations.
So
when
my
parents
announced
that
they
were
having
a
baby
girl,
I
immediately
suggested
naming
her
after
Shin-chan. And
that's
how
my
little
sister
became
known
as
Shin-chan
in
our
family.
Of
course,
we
didn't
actually
name
her
Shin-chan
on
her
birth
certificate
-
that
would
have
been
too
unconventional
-
but
it
became
her
unofficial
nickname. Like
the
character
she
was
named
after,
Shin-chan
had
a
talent
for
making
us
all
laugh.
She
was
always
up
for
a
good
prank
or
joke,
and
she
had
a
unique
perspective
on
the
world
around
her
that
kept
us
all
entertained.
And
while
she
did
have
a
mischievous
streak,
she
was
also
incredibly
kind-hearted
and
caring,
just
like
Shin-chan. Of
course,
as
she
grew
older,
Shin-chan
started
to
develop
her
own
interests
and
quirks
that
set
her
apart
from
her
namesake.
But
the
nickname

to
this
day,
we
still
call
her
Shin-chan
from
time
to
time. Looking
back,
I'm
glad
that
we
chose
to
name
my
sister
after
a
character
who
brought

into
our
lives.
It
was
a
fitting
tribute
to
the
little
girl
who
has
continued
to
fill
our
lives
with
love,
silliness,
and
fun.
